Anahera is a spatial canvas — available as a full browser tab or as a side panel. Pages you capture become cards with heat, position, and gravity. They are not bookmarks or list items; they are artifacts in a living space.

Pages visited together drift toward each other. Pages you return to stay warm and central. Pages you ignore cool and move aside. Pages only enter the canvas once you approve them — through the inbox or by right-clicking "Add to Anahera."

What to expect in this guide
Seven short steps. By the end you will have made your first capture, understood how the canvas works, and know how to find your way around it. Full functionality, no account needed.
Capture

Add your first page.

Two ways to capture a page. They behave differently — the one you choose shapes how your canvas organises itself.

Auto-capture + Inbox
Turn on auto-capture. Pages you dwell on 30+ seconds are queued — watch the badge counter on the extension icon. Open the full canvas to see "n artifacts waiting in your inbox" and approve them there. Each approved page auto-joins a domain cluster. Approving a batch closes the inbox and flies the camera to where they landed.

Instant manual capture — works on any page. If you have text selected, that passage is saved with the card. Lands on the canvas immediately (not via inbox). Lands as an orphan — drag it into a cluster if you want it to belong to one.
Auto-Capture

Let Anahera remember while you browse.

Auto-capture watches how long you spend on a page. Spend 30 seconds or more on something and it is added to the extension icon's counter. Open the full canvas to see "n artifacts waiting in your inbox" and approve them there. Pages only land on the canvas once you approve them.
How to enable
On your first panel open, a consent prompt asks whether to turn auto-capture on. You can also toggle it anytime from the panel header — the text "auto-capture off · enable" (underlined) means it's off; click it to turn it on.
Auto-capture collects only the page URL, title, favicon, and dwell time — no page content, no page body HTML, no form inputs, no passwords. Banking and login pages are always excluded. Incognito tabs are never captured.
Auto-capture is off by default. If you would rather decide page by page, keep it off and use right-click → "Add to Anahera" on any page you want to capture.
The Canvas

What you are looking at.

Each captured page is an artifact — a card with position, heat, and gravity. Cards that belong to a cluster are tethered to its centroid by filament lines. Orphan artifacts (not yet in a cluster) have no filaments. Notes are first-class artifacts: place them on the canvas, drag to a cluster, and open a markdown editor by selecting them.
Cold
Not visited recently. Dim and translucent. Drifts toward the cluster edge.
Warm
Active within the past hour. Saturated, soft glow, near the cluster center.
Hot
Just touched. Vivid with a pulsing ring. Pulled hard toward center.
Spatial Structure

Five layers, one space.

The canvas is built from overlapping layers. You never manage them — they emerge from your browsing. But reading them is how you orient.

  • 1 Node Your placed landmark — a named diamond or circle with an emoji, visible at every zoom level. The fixed reference point you navigate from. Press N to place one.
  • 2 Cluster A group of related artifacts with a shared color. Centroid marker at its center. Related pages gravitate here automatically after inbox approval.
  • 3 Artifact An individual captured page or note. Lives inside a cluster (or drifts as an orphan if not yet in one). Position within the cluster reflects heat.
  • 4 Filament The tether line connecting an artifact to its cluster centroid. Shifts color and width as tension grows.
  • 5 Field / District The scalar energy field underlying the canvas. Contour rings show heat concentration; the colored fill marks cluster territory.
Press A to orient. Zooms to fit all Nodes and flashes them for 2 seconds. Nodes stay visible at every zoom level — their emoji and label hold their size from the full map to a single card. Start from a Node, then drill into its clusters and artifacts.
Navigate

Finding your way around.

The canvas is a space, not a list. Scroll to zoom, drag to pan. The recommended way to orient and explore:
  • Press A to zoom to all Nodes. Every Node you have placed flashes and fits into view. This settles orientation — you see the whole canvas and know where you want to go.
  • Double-tap a Node to fly to it — the camera frames that node and all its connected clusters. Press N to place a new node.
  • Select a cluster to zoom into its artifacts. Position relative to the cluster centroid shows recency — warm cards are central, cold cards have drifted to the edge.
  • Click an artifact to open its page in the browser. Use the Wayfinding bar ("Jump to…") to search nodes, clusters, and page titles by name — click a result to fly there.
The Wayfinding bar and Inbox are only available in the full canvas tab — not in the side panel. Use the ⤢ expand button to open the full canvas.

Your canvas data stays in browser localStorage only. It never leaves your device. The extension sends no analytics or telemetry of any kind. Open the panel anytime — it's always where you left it.
