Help & Support

Last updated: August 2026

Anahera turns the pages you browse into a spatial canvas you inhabit. Most of it explains itself as you use it. The rest is here.

For the full walkthrough of every control, read the User Guide, or keep the Cheatsheet handy. Below are the questions that come up most.

Frequently asked questions

What is Anahera?

A place, not a tool. Pages you capture become cards on a living canvas. Cards form clusters, clusters anchor to nodes you place, and the whole field breathes with heat, a readout of what you have touched and when. You build the structure; Anahera handles the physics.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login, and nothing to phone home. Your canvas lives in your own browser. Anahera is local-first by design: what it knows about you, it keeps on your machine.

Is it free?

Yes. Full functionality, right out of the box. During early access a canvas holds up to 20 items; when you reach that, you can join the waitlist for a larger plan. Paid plans are not live yet, so there is nothing to buy today.

What does it capture, and is that private?

A small, fixed set per page: URL, title, favicon, and dwell time. That is the whole list, no page content, no page body, no form inputs, no passwords, no cookies. If you want to remember why a page mattered, you write your own note on its card. Captured data moves to the canvas in-browser and is stored in your browser's localStorage only; it never leaves your device, and the extension sends no analytics of any kind. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

How do I capture a page?

Two ways. Manual clip, press Ctrl+Shift+Y, or right-click a page and choose "Add to Anahera." It lands on your canvas immediately. Auto-capture: with it enabled, a page you dwell on for about 15 seconds is queued quietly to your inbox for review, never straight onto the canvas.

Why didn't a page get captured?

A few reasons, all deliberate: auto-capture may be off (toggle it in the panel header); the page may still be waiting in your inbox for approval; the tab is incognito (auto-capture is always paused there); or it is a known banking or sign-in page, which Anahera never auto-captures. A deliberate manual clip still works on any page you choose.

Where is my data stored, and can I lose it?

In your browser's localStorage, on the machine and browser profile you are using. That means a different browser, a different computer, or a cleared browser cache each starts from an empty canvas. Because it is local, it is also entirely yours, but the flip side is that you are the one holding the backup. Export it (below) if it matters.

How do I back up or move my canvas?

In the Anahera web app, open Settings → Export canvas to save your entire canvas to a file. Import that file any time, on any machine, to restore it. This is also how you move a canvas from one computer to another.

How do I reset and start over?

Settings → Reset workspace clears everything and returns you to an empty canvas. This is permanent, so export first if you might want it back.

Which browsers work?

Anahera Aloft is a Chrome extension and runs on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. The web canvas at anahera.space opens in any modern browser tab.

How do I uninstall?

Remove the extension from chrome://extensions. That stops all capture immediately. Anything already on your canvas stays in your browser's local storage until you clear it with Settings → Reset workspace.

Troubleshooting

The side panel is blank or won't load

Close and reopen the side panel from the Anahera feather icon. If it is still blank, reload the tab you are on. The canvas restores from local storage, so nothing is lost by reloading.

Pages I visited aren't showing up

Auto-captured pages wait in the inbox, not on the canvas, open it with Shift+I or the badge on the toolbar button, then approve them. If the inbox is empty too, check that auto-capture is on in the panel header, and remember it is paused on incognito, banking, and sign-in pages.

I hit the 20-item limit

That is the early-access ceiling. You can dismiss or reset items to free room, or join the waitlist from the upgrade notice for a larger plan when it lands.

My canvas is empty on a new computer

Expected, your canvas lives in one browser's local storage and does not sync across machines. Move it with Export on the old machine and Import on the new one.
